I’ve spent my career working at the intersection of technology and ideas. Our tools are improving exponentially, but our philosophy is lagging behind. I advocate from a deep love for humanity, including the recognition that building technology is among the highest expressions of our minds. I primarily explore how AI can be used to improve our creative expression and enhance our lives, and secondarily, how those building and using it must remain free to do so.

I build my life around challenging hobbies that take many years to master. You can find me soaring in the sky, flying my paraglider, or grappling on the ground, training jiu jitsu. I’m a lifelong sci-fi nerd and gamer—if I’m inside and not working, I’m probably reading a book or playing StarCraft.
