The Western Hemisphere, Immigration, and Technology

I’m a think tank researcher covering immigration and Western Hemisphere policy, as well as a contributing writer at The Dispatch and a 2026-2027 Novak Journalism Fellow with The Fund for American Studies. I also write Points of Entry, a newsletter on migration data.

For the fellowship I’ll focus on the relationship between immigration and industrial policy, as well as the impact of technology on assimilation.

Genealogist & Ireland Enjoyer

In my free time, I enjoy reading Irish crime fiction (two of my favorite authors are Tana French and Adrian McKinty).

I am also an avid genealogist and am currently in the process of applying for membership in the Sons of the American Revolution through my ancestor, Ramon Caro. Ramon was a corporal in the Spanish military at the time and donated a significant portion of his monthly salary to the American war effort. His enlistment papers can be seen above.
