I am an electrical engineer, a power systems graduate student and an all-around energy nerd. I use my blog to explore the technical, political, and economic constraints that shape the energy landscape. In this program, I will be exploring the energy trilemma; how can we cost-effectively and reliably power a growing civilization without destroying the planet in the process.

I am an amateur inventor and an avid reader of science fiction. I do my best thinking on my daily walk and, when I have a day off, I like to walk a bit further and stop by the local library. Most nights, I unwind watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer with my wife and two cats (Newton and Galileo).
