Urbanist writing about policy in Los Angeles

For over ten years, I have been working on bringing better housing and transportation options to the place where I live. I started with my neighborhood, then my city, and finally my state. My writing is informed by this advocacy – I aim to change policies to make Los Angeles a more welcoming and just city.

Oddly good at harmonies

My actual job is scoring mixer, which is a recording engineer for film and TV composers (though I am looking to shift careers into the advocacy world). I know how to record a 100-piece orchestra. I am married with two school-age kids. I love cooking, hiking, and traveling – I’ve been to about 40 countries. A random thing I am really good at is singing harmonies. If two people are harmonizing, I can add a third part. I also make a mean cortado.
