Jason Carman, Celine Halioua, Cate Hall, Lynne Kiesling, and Hannu Rajaniemi to speak at Progress Conference 2024

Progress Conference 2024 is shaping up to be the main event for the progress community going forward. We now have:

  • Five more great speakers. Jason Carman (documentary filmmaker at S3), Celine Halioua (CEO at Loyal), Cate Hall (CEO at Astera), Lynne Kiesling (professor at Northwestern and transactive energy expert), and Hannu Rajaniemi (biotech founder at HelixNano and sci-fi author) will bring their ideas and energy to the conference. Our speaker list is now closed—but we’re excited about many additional interesting sessions that attendees will be able to organize during the unconference spots.
  • Four additional sponsors. We welcome the Future of Life Institute, the Institute for Humane Studies, Manifold, and the Good Science Project as new sponsors. A few sponsorships at various levels, from $10K to $75K, are still available: learn how to join this great group of sponsors, including Cato Institute, Astera Institute, and Freethink Media: Sponsorship Opportunities
  • Well over 300 applications to attend. Our open application is now closed for what will surely be a sell-out event. We are excited by the quality and range of people who applied, and are now making tough choices about who to invite from this impressive list of interested people, as we’ll likely only be able to extend invitations to 20–30 of over 300 applicants—even though we’d love to be able to invite at least 100, based on an initial review of the applications!

When we first began planning this event in January, we believed that the progress community needed a regular gathering. We were right. With our 25 speakers and a full house of 200 high-caliber attendees, the conference will bring together leading intellectuals, builders, policy makers, and students of progress. See you in October to meet great people, catalyze new projects, share ideas, and be energized and inspired to make progress together.
